STATEMENT ON THE FILM "HUNTING MATTHEW NICHOLS"

The City of Port Rupert formally opposes the exhibition of the film Hunting Matthew Nichols within our community. After careful consideration, City Council has determined that the film’s content is inconsistent with the values, priorities, and public interest of Port Rupert and has raised serious concerns among residents. The City supports community members who have voiced their objections and encourages the public to review Council’s official statement outlining the basis for this position. Residents and members of the public who wish to express their opposition are also invited to participate in a public petition calling for the film’s removal from theatres.
